The need for sustainable and eco-friendly energy solutions is now more important than ever. By switching to renewable energy products, such as bioLPG, we can reduce pollution, ensure better air quality, and minimize our contribution to climate change.

In this article, you will learn about biopropane production, the benefits of this gas, and what role it plays in the reduction of carbon emissions.

BioLPG

What Is BioLPG?

First, let’s talk about what bioLPG actually is to understand how it reduces carbon footprint. To put it simply, bioLPG is an eco-friendly liquified petroleum gas that is produced from organic waste materials as opposed to fossil fuels. The feedstock used to make bioLPG may include everything from food waste to vegetable oils and animal fats.

While bioLPG is identical in its physical qualities to standard LPG, the crucial difference is its environmental impact. Thanks to its organic nature, this type of renewable LPG reduces carbon emissions by up to 90%.

How Is BioLPG Made?

If we talk about bioLPG production, there are a few different ways that waste matter can be converted into a product known as biopropane. The most widely used approach is the production of biodiesel through hydrotreatment, which then allows the extraction of a certain amount of bioLPG.

The first step in the process is to collect the right organic matter. Next, hydrogen is added to the feedstock, thus causing gases to emit. Once the conversion process is complete, we obtain biodiesel. Through the additional purification and isolation, it is possible to get around 5 units of bioLPG for every 100 units of biodiesel. Once the LPG is obtained, it must be properly stored in specialized LPG tanks. Thanks to proper storage, bioLPG can be safely transported and effectively used.

How Is BioLPG Made

5 Main BioLPG Benefits

Now that you have the answer to what is renewable propane, let’s talk about the main benefits of this energy solution. Here are the main ones:

Sustainable source

As opposed to natural gas, which is a finite resource, bioLPG is a sustainable option because of its reliance on organic matter.

Better air quality

The burning of fossil fuels is accompanied by the release of pollutants (nitrogen oxide, sulfur, etc.), but bioLPG doesn’t have this problem.

Reduced carbon emission

An indisputable benefit of rLPG is a huge reduction in carbon emission, which is one of the most significant environmental disruptors.

Easy switch

Because bioLPG has qualities identical to those of LPG, there is no need to change the available LPG-oriented infrastructure. This ensures a painless switch to a renewable resource.

Ideal option for remote areas

BioLPG is a health-conscious solution for homes in remote areas, which often rely on the use of charcoal and wood. Biopropane is both cost-effective and reduces air pollution.

Usage of BioLPG

What you should know about bioLPG is that it can be used in many different ways, whether for industrial or residential purposes. Some of the main bioLPG uses include the following:

  • Homestead Management. At home, biopropane can be used for cooking and heating. It can be used to power everything from boilers to gas stoves. As was mentioned previously, the main benefits are cleaner air and easy transition.

  • Industrial Usage. This eco-friendly gas can be used in different types of industrial equipment and for heating facilities. Some food production processes also rely on the use of gas. The advantages include compliance with environmental laws and sufficient energy yield. At I-Maximum, we offer industrial LPG gas service, ensuring quick installation and safe operation of equipment.

  • Agricultural Usage. As heating is crucial for many agricultural processes (greenhouses, animal farms, etc.), bioLPG can become a great solution for this purpose. It is also a cost-efficient solution for farmers. And it’s devoid of harmful pollutants, which is crucial for safe agricultural practices.

  • Business Sector. Just like homes, restaurants, hotels, and other public spaces can benefit from bioLPG use. This renewable gas offers sufficient reliability for heating and cooking in commercial kitchens. It also allows businesses to adhere to public health laws.

BioLPG and Sustainability

At I-Maximum, we are convinced that renewable energy sources are the future. BioLPG is synonymous with sustainability, as it’s not depletable like the traditional fossil fuels and natural gas.

What is more, when we rely on rLPG, carbon emission is reduced by up to 90%. If we compare biopropane to the standard polluting fuels, the former doesn’t emit almost any particulate matter. In this way, we get cleaner air in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Another aspect of sustainability is the reduction of deforestation, as fewer trees are cut for wood. This also has a positive impact on the biodiversity, quality of air, and the ecosystem as a whole.

perguntas mais frequentes

1

O que é SNG e onde é aplicado?

Created with Pixso.
3

Qual é o custo do sistema SNG e como escolher o equipamento?

Created with Pixso.
